SNA Day “After” Thanksgiving Ride at Stonyford!!!

Date: Friday November 27, 2009

Time: 8:00 a.m. Breakfast at Bill & Kathy’s in Dunnigan Ca

Bill & Kathy’s Restaurant – Dunnigan Ca.
4070 County Road 89 Road 6 & Interstate 5
Directions to; Bill & Kathy’s
35 miles north of Sacramento on Hwy 5 to Dunnigan exit County Road 6 turn right, then turn right on County Road 89.

Remember, unpredictable weather is part of the adventure!!!

Staging Area: Little Stony Creek / Digger Pines

Directions to; Stonyford (130 miles total)
From EDH, west on hwy 50 to Interstate 5, turn right and continue north on I-5 to Maxwell, exit Maxwell Road turn left and continue west on Maxwell Road to Lodoga, turn right on Lodoga/Stonyford Road and continue west on Lodoga/Stonyford Road to Goat Mountain Road, turn left on Goat Mountain Road and continue approximately 5 miles on the dirt road that follows Little Stony Creek to the paved road at Digger Pines Staging Area.

SNA Stonyford “DIRT” Bike Ride:

· This is a fast pace dirt bike ride with challenging big hill climbs & single-track woods riding.

· Skill level varies from strong intermediate to advanced riders.

· Riders will be split into groups with the stronger riders riding a faster pace.

· Ride distance: 45 to 50 mile loop (with no gas stop)

  • The 2009 Day “After” Thanksgiving Ride at Stonyford was all about Adventure!!!
    Sunny skies early in the day to rain, hail, sleet and snow,,, it was awesome!!!
    Special thanks goes out to a great group of SNA riders that never gave up and continued to ride into the storm as if it was a sunny day.
    The unpredictable weather just added more challenge and excitement to an incredible adventure!!!
